2. General information and mandatory disclosures
Data protection
The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.
We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Note on the responsible entity
The responsible entity for data processing on this website is the controller named above. The responsible entity is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).
Storage duration
Unless a more specific storage period has been stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.
Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Right to object to data collection in special cases (Art. 21 GDPR)
If data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. If you object, we will no longer process your affected personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
Access, deletion and rectification
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing, and, if applicable, a right to rectification or deletion of this data. For this purpose, as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is carried out unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may — apart from its storage — only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.
3. Our promise to you
We do not share your data with third parties. Not with advertisers, not with data brokers, not with any partners. Your data is not sold, not rented out and not traded.
Only exception: When you sell us toners and we create a free shipping label for you, we transmit your address to DHL — this is necessary for shipping and the only case in which data goes to a third party. Nobody else.
We use your email address and contact details exclusively to process your specific enquiry — that means making you an offer for your toners and handling the buyback. After that, we're done.
You will not receive from us:
- No newsletters
- No marketing emails
- No calls for marketing purposes
- No sharing of your data with third parties — except DHL for shipping
We only collect the data that is actually necessary for processing your toner sale. No more, no less. Once your matter is resolved, you can request the deletion of your data from us at any time.
Statutory retention obligations naturally remain unaffected — but even this data is not passed on for our benefit or for advertising purposes.
Why do we say this so clearly? Because we're personally annoyed by sites that collect data and then bombard you with advertising. We don't do that — it's not our business and it never will be. You can count on that.
4. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our website uses so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packets that do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
Cookies can come from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of technically necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website — for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of enquiries directed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this was requested.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.
Enquiry by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request.
The data you send us via contact enquiry will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular statutory retention periods — remain unaffected.
5. Hosting
External hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider (hoster). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the hoster's servers. This may include, among other things, IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website accesses and other data generated via a website.
The use of the hoster is for the purpose of contract fulfilment towards our potential and existing customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
Our hoster will only process your data to the extent necessary to fulfil its service obligations and will follow our instructions regarding this data.
6. Google Ads Conversion Tracking
We use Google Ads Conversion Tracking from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This tool sets a cookie when you have arrived at our website via a Google ad. This allows us to track whether a click on one of our ads led to a contact.
Important: We do not see any personal data in this process. We only see the total number of users who clicked on an ad and subsequently performed an action. We cannot personally identify you through this.
Conversion tracking is only loaded if you have consented via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you choose "Essential only", Google Ads will not be loaded and no tracking cookies will be set. You can revoke your consent at any time by clearing your browser's cookie storage.
Further information on data protection at Google can be found at: policies.google.com/privacy
We do not use Google Analytics. Google Ads Conversion Tracking is the only external service we use — with your consent. For web analytics, we use Matomo instead (see below).
7. Web analytics with Matomo (without cookies)
We use Matomo, a self-hosted open-source web analytics software. Matomo runs exclusively on our own server — your data does not leave our server and is not shared with third parties.
We use Matomo without cookies. No cookies are stored on your device and you are not tracked across different websites. Consent via the cookie banner is therefore not required.
The following data is processed:
- Anonymised IP address (the last two bytes are removed)
- Date and time of access
- Pages visited
- Referring page (referrer)
- Browser and operating system used
Processing is based on our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behaviour to improve our offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Why Matomo and not Google Analytics? Because your privacy matters to us. With Matomo, all data stays with us — no Google, no third-party providers, no advertising. That fits our data promise.
8. SSL/TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock icon in your browser bar.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
